旁白:
One night, I looked out through the window, and saw it approaching from the deep blind sky. Because it was so far away, it seemed very small at first, and because it was so big, it seem to move slowly, and because it was so powerful, it came swiftly, noiselessly, irresistibly. It came unnoticed, uninvited.
When it flew over the mountains, the leopard looked up, and the deer darted free from the tearing claws. And they both hid in fear.
When it flew over the fields, the owl looked up, and the rat ran free from the catching claws. And they both hid in fear.
When it flew over the city, the people were all asleep. But their leaders looked up, their wiseman looked up. But it was too late.
All those who saw it were destroyed. All the leaders and the wiseman were destroyed.
And the leopard, the deer, the rat and the owl were also destroyed.
All the people who had not seen it were destroyed too.
When it was all over, there were nothing else left, but a small flame. The mountains, the fields, the city and the earth, had all disappeared. And it was cold, except for this small flame. Then I saw it, still flying around the flame. And now it looked like a moth, and it too was destroyed.
And the flame died.
